ICICI veteran Anil Ladha skips to Morgan Stanley

Morgan Stanley lures Anil Ladha to head fixed-income capital markets coverage for India from Mumbai.

Morgan Stanley has hired Anil Ladha as head of fixed-income capital markets coverage for India.

Ladha will be part of Morgan Stanley’s capital markets team in Mumbai. He joins as an executive director reporting to Julien Begasse de Dhaem, who is based in Hong Kong and heads fixed-income capital markets for Asia-Pacific.

Ladha brings to his new role almost 17 years of experience with the ICICI group in Mumbai. He joined ICICI in November 1993 and has worked across investment banking products, including capital markets and corporate finance. Ladha was most recently the head of capital markets at ICICI Bank’s investment banking subsidiary, ICICI Securities.

Ladha joined Morgan Stanley earlier this month. The US investment bank said that the appointment is a significant addition to its India and regional team and reflects continuing efforts to maintain a leading position in global capital markets. The appointment also reflects Morgan Stanley’s ongoing commitment and growth in India, it added.
