Richard Jones is taking over from John Donald as ING Barings' regional head of research for Asia, based in Hong Kong. Donald will move to a new research position at the group's London office. Since joining the company in 1990, Jones has covered the food & beverage and airline industries in Singapore, where he has served as head of equities and head of research; he was previously the head of research in Malaysia.
Joe Petch is appointed head of equity for Hong Kong and China; Xen Gladstone head of equity research for Hong Kong; Ester Li head of the equity sales desk in Hong Kong. Li and Jane Brooks will be country head of sales for Hong Kong and China, respectively.
In Singapore, Coen Kluyver will relocate from Tokyo to Singapore to become head of Equity, Asean. He will oversee ING Barings' equity business in Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore and Thailand. Mark Duncan will replace Jones as head of equity for Singapore and Malaysia, but his responsibilities as head of equity sales for Singapore remain unchanged.
