SBI Funds Management makes IPO debut amid strong India H2 pipeline

India’s largest mutual fund manager was oversubscribed but made a modest debut, as Reliance Jio and NSE prepare to go public; however, higher oil prices could weigh on investor demand.

SBI Funds Management rose 6.3% on its stock exchange debut in Mumbai on July 21 after investors piled INR97.95 billion ($1.14 billion) into 170.96 million existing shares from the listing of India’s largest asset manager.
