HKEX signs MoUs with Kazakhstan’s AIFC and AIX to boost Central Asia connectivity

The Hong Kong exchange operator will collaborate with Kazakhstan’s financial hub on carbon markets, green finance and commodities, while exploring cross-border listings with Astana International Exchange.

The Hong Kong Stock Exchange (HKEX) has signed Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with the Astana International Financial Centre (AIFC) Authority and Astana International Exchange (AIX) on June 2, as both sides seek to strengthen capital markets connectivity between Hong Kong and Central Asia.
