Fresh from a recent slew of equity research hires in the Hong Kong office, CSFB equity sales is again demonstrating an aggressive hiring policy towards UBS by poaching Joss Fisher from its Swiss rival.
Fisher joins CSFB in June and has been anointed co-head of Hong Kong equity sales. He will report to SJ Hwang, head of equities for non-Japan Asia and replaces the former head of Hong Kong equity sales, Paul Jeffrey, who has been named head of hedge funds, Asia ex-Japan.
A 10-year veteran at UBS equity sales, Fisher was most recently Hong Kong-based executive director, equity sales. During his UBS residence, Fisher also held posts in the London equities department.
Earlier this month, CSFB pilfered UBS research analysts, Vincent Chan and Natalie Wan for its China equities team.
