Deutsche Bank has recruited Eric Hsu as its new managing director and head of global banking in Taiwan. From the German firm’s Taipei offices, Hsu will report directly to Peter Tsao, its Hong Kong-based vice chairman of global banking, Asia, with immediate effect.

In the new role, Hsu will work closely with the product and industry heads, and assumes responsibility for all corporate finance origination and execution in Taiwan.

Prior to joining the Deutsche ranks, Hsu spent six years at Lehman Brothers’ investment banking division, holding the title of head of underwriting and chief representative of Lehman Brothers Inc., Taiwan. Within this role, he was involved in origination and execution of corporate finance mandates.

Outside of his tenure at Lehman, Hsu also brings Taiwan experience from Citibank, ING Barings and Jardine Fleming to Deutsche.
