Andrew Cross to leave AIIB as chief financial officer

The former Inter-American Development Bank CFO has relocated from Washington D.C. for the Beijing-based role.

Cross was most recently chief financial officer at the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank in Beijing.

Andrew Cross, CFO at the Beijing-based infrastructure bank, shared his views on private capital mobilisation, high interest rates, sustainabilty bonds, and the attraction of Hong Kong as a fundraising destination; the AIIB is looking to deploy $75bn by 2030.

As the bank eyes a record fundraising year, acting CFO Domenico Nardelli talks infrastructure, bonds, hard to price risks, and market opportunities.

The funds will be mobilised to support initiatives such as the Asean Power Grid, in collaboration with four Malaysian banks.

Bauhinia 3 has a portfolio of 33 project and infrastructure loans across 28 projects, 12 countries and nine sub-sectors, with a value of $450.5m. HKMC issued Class D notes at non-investment grade -- a first in Asia.
