Treasury appointments, August 9

A roundup of the latest CFO and treasurer moves from around the region.

Auric Pacific Group: The Singapore-based fast moving consumer goods company announced the promotion of Hee Siew Fong as group chief financial officer on August 2. She joined the company in December 2009 as group financial controller from SATS where she held the same position.

China Nickel Resources Holdings: Alvin Lau resigned as chief financial officer and company secretary of the China-based integrated special steel, non-ferrous metal and mineral enterprise on August 1. Assistant financial controller, So Hiu Tung, was appointed company secretary on the same day. The company has not yet announced a replacement for Lau who joined in 2006 and was responsible for implementing a five-year transformation plan.

Federal International (2000): The Singapore-based flow line control products and services company appointed Ong Chye Hong group CFO on August 2. She joined the company from Asia Water Technology where she was CFO for just a year. Ong has more than 20 years of experience and is a member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Singapore.

Guangzhao Industrial Forest Biotechnology Group: Ong Han Sim was appointed CFO of the Singapore-based company engaged in tissue culture and propagation of plantlets and saplings on August 1. He holds a bachelor degree in commerce from Nanyang University and a post graduate diploma in business administration from Brunel University. In addition he is a fellow of the Member of Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Singapore.

Sim Siang Choon: The Singapore-based kitchen and bathroom products company appointed Seah Yin Hwei financial controller on August 2. She joined the company from Nepes where she was finance manager for almost six years.

SM Summit Holdings: Foo Ai Huey was promoted group CFO of the Singapore-based compact disc manufacturer on August 1. She replaced Kong Chee Min who resigned from the position and was appointed group chief executive on the same day. Foo has been with the company for more than 11 years, joining as group finance manager in April 2000 from MOH Holdings where she was a senior accountant.

Vibropower Corporation: The Singapore-based stationary generator manufacturer appointed Sia Huai Peng group financial controller on August 1. She replaced Chua Soo Fong who resigned on July 28. Sia joined the company from RSM Chio Lim where she was most recently a senior audit manager.
