At a ceremony held recently at the Makati Shangri-La Hotel in Manila, senior business leaders from the best managed companies in the Philippines came together to pick up their awards and make short speeches. The winners were selected by polling investors and analysts across the region.
The dinner, which was held on July 2, was sponsored by ING for the third consecutive year. Awards were announced by FinanceAsiaÆs publisher Jonathan Hirst, and presented by Manuel Salak III, country manager of ING. Attendees and award recipients included Ramon Opulencia from Ayala Corporation, which won the most votes for best managed company and best corporate governance. Also in attendance was Delfin Gonzalez of Globe Telecom, who won the nod for best CFO. Globe Telecom also won the award for best investor relations.
