Nomura’s Instinet names new Asia CEO

Nomura's execution solution provider names new Asia chief as the firm's Asia CEO steps up to a newly-created role.

Instinet, the equity executive services arm of Nomura Group, has announced its latest senior appointment today, promoting Stuart Knowling as its chief executive officer for the Asia-Pacific region with immediate effect, the company said in a statement.

Knowling has been the chief operating officer for Instinet Asia since 2010, during which he oversaw the company's three offices and managed the day to day operations of the corporate teams in Hong Kong. He replaces Tetsuhiro Nishi, who is stepping up to lead Nomura's execution services for the Asia ex-Japan region, also based in Hong Kong.
