IMF delays loan review for Bangladesh amid failure to meet conditions

An April review by the IMF ended without an agreement, with June the next opportunity to meet the IMF's conditions and release two tranches of loans.

There is more bad news for Bangladesh’s economy. A mission from the International Monetary Fund (IMF), visited Dhaka during April 6–17, ended its journey without reaching a ‘staff-level’ agreement with the Bangladeshi authority, for its $4.7 billion loan programme.
