HSBC has hired Phil Lipton to the bank’s Hong Kong office as head of loan distribution, Asia-Pacific. Lipton will report to Bryan Pascoe, head of debt syndicate, Asia-Pacific.
HSBC states that in his new role Lipton will be responsible for strengthening the loan distribution team and providing region-wide delivery of HSBC’s debt finance product platform to their Asia-Pacific client base.
Before joining HSBC, Lipton was head of loan syndications, Asia-Pacific for BCI/Banca Intesa. Previously, he spent seven years with Standard Chartered and began his career with Barclays in London. In total, Lipton brings 10 years of Asian distribution experience to HSBC.
