Credit Agricole targets Thai financial institutions

The French bank hires a financial institutions head in Bangkok to lead its expansion in Thailand.

Credit Agricole’s investment banking arm is expanding its financial institutions group into Thailand. The French bank has hired Panida Tangsriwong to head the new Thai group, which will offer financing and advisory products to financial institutions in Thailand.

Tangsriwong is returning to Credit Agricole’s financial institutions department after leaving three years ago to join Standard Chartered, where she was head of investors and intermediaries in the same department. She has also worked at HSBC, where she managed client relationships in the institutional banking group. At Credit Agricole, she will report to Thierry Hebraud, senior country officer for Thailand, and Frederic Laine, head of the financial institutions group, international client coverage, for Asia ex-Japan....
