Win a case of champagne

Each year we award a case of champagne to the person who can predict the level of the FinanceAsia 100 at the end of the year. Last year's winner was Macquarie's Nick Thompson who predicted the index would close on December 15 at 1,636 - which was a perfect prediction because that is exactly where it closed.

This year's competition to predict the closing level of the FA 100 in 2007 is now open. The winner will be the person whose prediction is nearest to the index's closing level on Friday December 14.

Will the index match last year's 19% gain? The index got off to a strong start, hitting a new all-time high on Wednesday January 3 of 1,742. It closed on Friday at 1,692.
