Shukla joined Citi's technology group in 2000. Before then he was a member of the Southeast Asian investment bank team covering Indian companies. He was appointed a managing director in 2006 and will report to Mark Renton, head of investment banking Asia-Pacific and Dan McNamara, co-head of investment banking Asia-Pacific for Citi, together with Mark Simonian and Chris Varelas, global co-heads of TMT. Shukla joined Citi as a management associate in 1991.
Shukla takes over as head of Asia-Pacific TMT from Simon Parker, who will be moving to Citi's global special solutions group to head up a new initiative in private equity, based in Hong Kong.
