Private credit fears grip Australia after property firm collapse

ASIC has warned that the private credit market is facing "its first real test" amid property group Bathla's collapse.

The collapse of Australian construction company Bathla in August has rattled Australia’s A$250 billion ($175 billion) private credit market, with concerns that the contagion could spread through the private credit sector.
