Lajeunesse joins ANZ

Andre Lajeunesse leaves ABN AMRO for a new role as head of investor sales.
Australian bank ANZ has hired Andre Lajeunesse as head of investor sales for Asia based in Singapore. The switch to ANZ is a big move for the Asia-veteran who has spent 16 years in the region, and much of that with ABN AMRO.

Lajeunesse will be responsible for broadening and deepening ANZÆs penetration of the Asian investor market and increasing the bankÆs origination pipeline across 12 geographies. He reports to David Hornery, ANZÆs managing director for Asia.

LajeunesseÆs last role with ABN AMRO was as managing director responsible for senior investor coverage in the client strategy group. But he also spent many years as regional head of ABNÆs financial institutions sales team. In this role, he hired and managed a large team of institutional sales people including specialists in secondary loan sales, foreign exchange and foreign exchange options and structured finance. He also developed new markets like Korea.

Commenting on the appointment, Hornery says: ôAndre brings a wealth of experience in the financial institutions and public sector markets, covering all asset classes. His 16 years experience in Asia covering sales, trading and origination at various investment houses give him a strong base from which to build onto our existing sales team.ö
