JPMorgan's big Indonesia hire

Gita Wirjawan named senior country officer and head of investment banking for Indonesia.

JPMorgan has enticed Gita Wirjawan away from Singapore Technologies Telemedia ST Telemedia to the firm's Jakarta office. Effective September 1, Wirjawan will serve as JPMorgan's senior country officer for Indonesia and head of investment banking for Indonesia.

Wirjawan replaces Jonathan Chang, who announced his retirement in early June after 15 years with the bank.

In the new job, Wirjawan will split his reporting duties. As JPMorgan's senior country officer for Indonesia, he will report to Ralph Parks, the firm's chairman for Asia.
