ING has boosted its TMT and automobiles sector research in Korea with some key hires in Seoul.
Earlier this Summer, ING poached Kishore Suratkal from Deutsche to be its head of regional tech research, and Suratkal has now hired former Deutsche colleague Lee Do-Hoon to cover the Korean semiconductor industry. Before Deutsche he worked at Samsung Securities.
Also strengthening the Korean TMT team is Kang Han-Suk who joins from Morgan Stanley to cover the Korean telecoms sector. Before Morgan Stanley he worked for Razorfish in New York, a global digital solutions provider.
Aside from these hires from rival firms, Kwak Eun-Sook rejoins ING after a one year sabbatical. He will once again cover the Korean automobile and shipbuilding sectors.
