Brereton is a finance specialist with nine years' experience in Asia, advising clients on legal issues relating to leveraged finance, projects and banking, including advising the lenders on the $500 million financing for Vodafone Essar at the end of last year.
Taylor focuses on corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, and has been based in Singapore for more than five years, advising on deals such as Saudi Telecom's $3 billion investment in Maxis in 2007.
"Our Singapore office has had its busiest year on record, and Andrew and Lee played a significant role in this success," says Philip Rapp, managing partner of Clifford Chance's Singapore office.
All of the other 33 newly promoted lawyers, who are due to join the partnership with effect from May 1, are based in offices outside Asia, mostly in Europe.
