Malaysia to introduce T+3 by year's end

As the settlement cycle shortens, custodians will need a more efficient tool for discrepancy rectification. But the faster system is not welcome by all.

Malaysia will shorten its securities settlement cycle by the end of this year at the latest, according to Ungku Razak, deputy president of the Kuala Lumpur Stock Exchange (KLSE).
