China's top bankers

China's top bankers

Who do you think are the 20 most influential bankers in China? Vote for your nominees now.

As regular readers will remember, we set out in 2009 to put together a list of the 50 most influential people in financial markets in Asia ex-Japan. Last year, we focused on the top 20 women in finance. This year, we are compiling a list of the top 20 bankers in China.

Candidates could be financial industry regulators who have good knowledge of the roots of China’s economic and fiscal problems, and come up with effective measures to help solve them. Or they might be banking officials who have developed policies that are leading the country to the next stage of financial reform.

They may also be bankers who play a leadership role in key transactions and are able to complete deals in a tight timetable and in difficult market conditions. The candidate may be a good team leader or have solid client relationships that enable the bank to be the first to capture market opportunities.

Or the candidate may be an analyst, economist or strategist. We will consider China observers with outstanding industry and economic insight and analysis.

Candidates can be of any nationality.

Please take a moment to tell us who you think should be on the list. You can simply suggest one person or provide us with several nominations. If you’re really passionate, tell us why you think they have made a difference. We will also accept self-nominations from the unashamed.

Please include the full name and position of your nominee, and if possible email a CV and photograph to [email protected].

The deadline for nominations is July 3.
