Yeone Moser resigns from equity syndicate at J.P. Morgan

Yeone Moser has resigned from her job on the Asia equity syndicate desk at J.P. Morgan and, according to sources, will be joining Deutsche Bank in a similar role by early July. Moser had been on J.P. Morgan's syndicate desk in Hong Kong for the past two years, working under syndicate head Eliot Fisk. Before that she spent close to two years on the bank's equity syndicate desk for Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA) in London.

Sources said she will join Deutsche as a vice-president and will report to Sumeet Puri, who took over as head of equity syndicate earlier this year, as well as to the bank's two co-heads of equity capital markets for Asia, John Lydon and Ashok Pandit.   

Deutsche Bank's syndicate desk has seen some significant changes this year with sources saying that Tom Bennett and Samantha Ong both left the team a few weeks ago. This comes after Robert Jahrling resigned early this year to return to Sydney, where he has since joined the Australian capital markets origination team at Citi. In April it also emerged that Jorge Munoz, the former equity syndicate head for Asia who was due to transfer to London after a transitional period handing over to Puri, had decided to leave the firm altogether and join the Asia equity capital markets team at Barclays Capital instead.

However, one other person has supposedly been appointed and when Moser starts work there will be three people on the syndicate desk, including Puri, the sources say.

Before she joined J.P. Morgan in London, Moser worked as an investment banker at Credit Suisse, first in New York and then in London.

According to sources, Bennett has resigned from Deutsche Bank, but it is still not known what he will be doing next. He had been at the equity syndicate desk at Deutsche Bank in Hong Kong for three-and-a-half years and before that worked with Citi in Europe. It was unclear whether Ong is still with the bank.

Nobody at Deutsche Bank was able to comment.
