Rothschild appoints new Indonesia country head

Laurentius Sutikno becomes Rothschild's new country head for Indonesia.
The Rothschild Group says it has appointed Laurentius Sutikno as country head of Indonesia and managing director of investment banking.

Sutikno will be based in Jakarta and report to Mark Florance, head of investment banking for Southeast Asia.

Prior to joining Rothschild, Sutikno worked at BNP Paribas in Jakarta where he was a director and head of corporate finance, and previously as a senior corporate financier at Nomura Indonesia.

In his new role, Sutikno will be responsible for leading the investment banking group in Indonesia as well as building senior client coverage and origination, the bank says.

"Larry has a solid understanding of the market and industry players, and we are confident our clients will benefit from his extensive knowledge and insights." says Florance.

ôIndonesia is an important element of RothschildÆs business in Asia-Pacific,ö says Florance. Some of the recent key deals include providing financial advice to Garuda Indonesia (Persero) on debt restructuring, advising Indika Energy in its IPO of $330 million and advising in the acquisition of Bank Permata by Standard Chartered and Astra International.
