Standard Chartered Private Bank builds team

The bank appoints Gary Tiernan as global head of investment advisory and fiduciary.
Standard Chartered Private Bank yesterday announced the appointment of Gary Tiernan as global head of investment advisory and fiduciary. Tiernan will report to Peter Flavel, global head of the private bank.

In his new role Tiernan will be responsible for overseeing and driving the private bankÆs overall investment advisory approach, and tailoring the product suite and product capabilities to meet high-net-worth investment needs. He will also oversee the fiduciary business.

Prior to joining Standard Chartered Private Bank, Tiernan spent four years in Asia as regional head of investment and sales for Deutsche Bank Private Wealth Management in Asia-Pacific. Before that, he was DeutscheÆs regional head of products, covering the Middle East, Latin America and Europe (excluding Germany).
