SGÆs Truchi becomes global head

Asian private banking boss is named global head of SG Private Banking.
In a move that underscores the regionÆs growing prestige within the private banking industry, the Asian head of SG Private Banking, Daniel Truchi has been elevated to the bankÆs top job.

His new role as global head of private banking will see him relocate to Paris from Singapore. However, he will retain his position as regional CEO of SGÆs Asian private banking operations.

In other appointments at the firm, Alex Fung has been named as CEO and branch manager of SGÆs Hong Kong branch, with responsibility for marketing in North Asia. Pierre Baer has been named CEO and branch manager of the Singapore branch, with marketing responsibilities for Southeast Asia.

Luke Peng has also been appointed CEO of SG Trust (Asia).

SGÆs private banking operations were established in Asia in 1998 and the bank currently has four booking centres: Hong Kong and Singapore for offshore booking, and onshore in Japan and India.
