Linklaters as announced the addition of a further US partner to its Tokyo office. David Deck joins the firm from Shearman & Sterling Tokyo where he was managing partner for five years.
His expertise lies in structured finance including: leveraged lease financings, securitization, project financing, cross border M&A, venture capital and private equity transactions, principally in Japan, Taiwan and Korea. His arrival brings the total number of partners at Linklaters Tokyo to six, of whom two practise US law.
Commenting on his appointment, Andrew Roberts, the firm's Asian managing partner says, "David's appointment opens up a whole new dimension to what we are able to offer clients in North Asia. We were already leading the Tokyo market in English and US capital markets advice and securitization work under English law. Now clients can turn to Linklaters for English and US legal advice with their structured finance deals."
