Invitation to: "Taiwan Fixed Income Market Reform and Development 2005"

We would like to exend a complimenaty invitation to any readers who would like to attend our one-day fixed income conference in Taipei this Thursday.

In association with China Credit Information Services (CCIS), FinanceAsia will be hosting a one-day conference, "Taiwan Fixed Income Market Reform and Development 2005" at the Far Eastern Plaza Hotel, Taipei, Taiwan on Thursday May 26 2005. We would like to extend a complimentary invitation to any readers interested in attending the event (including lunch), which will be in English and Chinese with simultaneous translation.

The conference will cover all aspects of the fixed income markets including regulatory oversight, new product developments and reform initiatives. Keynote speakers comprise: Dr. Shuh Chen, Administrative Deputy Minister of Finance, Mr. Shyan-Yuan Lee, Commissioner of the Financial Supervisory Commission (FSC) and Mr. Henry Lin, Chairman of the Securities Investment Trust Association (Sitca)

Improving the efficiency, sophistication and depth of Taiwan's fixed income markets became a top priority for the Chen Shui-Ban government last July following a redemptions crisis in the bond fund industry.

The conference will examine the outlook of the fixed income markets in 2005 from the perspective of both the buy and sell side. It will look at structural changes that have taken place to make the market more efficient in the light of last summer's events.

It will also highlight new product innovations such as the introduction of stripped bonds and the growing acceptance of new financing methods such as securitization.

FinanceAsia will not be charging guests of FinanceAsia to attend this conference, but places are limited. To guarantee your seat please contact Lucia Ip at [email protected] to make a reservation. Alternatively you can contact her at Tel: 852 21225225.
