Investor relations poll: Are banks ignoring you?

We are conducting a poll into what our readers think of the state of the Asian investor relations market.

Many Asian company executives complain that they are being ignored by investment banks that once used to cover them assiduously — collateral damage from the continuing effects of the financial crisis.

Research coverage is down. Corporate access teams have been slashed to the bone. Conference invitations and non-deal roadshows have dried up. And all this at a time when many Asian companies have a very good comparative investment story to tell.

FinanceAsia is conducting a survey of corporate executives on the state of investor relations in Asia. We are looking to find out what Asian companies want from their IR activities, what changes they have seen and where they see the market developing in coming years. Full results of the poll will be published in the December 2012/January 2013 edition of FinanceAsia and online in early December.
