HSBC has appointed Michael Bevan as head of sovereign wealth funds for the Asia-Pacific region, according to an internal memo seen by FinanceAsia

Bevan, who leaves his current role as head of equity capital markets for Middle East and Africa, will assist the bank’s SWF clients and liaise with his counterparts in London and the Middle East

The position is based in Hong Kong and is effective immediately
