Greater Bay Area could benefit from proposed ‘Belt and Road Games'

The games, if they go ahead, potentially in 2027, are expected to bring economic benefits to the Greater Bay Area, including Hong Kong, and countries part of the Belt and Road Initiative.

The Greater Bay Area (GBA), including Hong Kong, is expected to help host the 'Belt and Road Games', which is expected to generate economic spinoffs to the Special Administrative Region (SAR), the GBA and the Belt and Road nations, said a prime mover of the games. The inaugural 'Belt and Road Games' might be held as early as 2027.
