FinanceAsia has been named the Best Trade Media in Asia for the second consecutive year by the Society of Publishers in Asia (SOPA). At a gala dinner on Tuesday, SOPA judges applauded the magazine and praised it for being insightful and informative.
They also noted the "clever covers of the magazine", as well as journalists' abilities in explaining complex topics.
In particular, the judges praised the cover story of the September 2000 edition (Hong Kong's Cultural Revolution), which was written by managing editor Jame DiBiasio. The judges described it as, "a fascinating insight into Hong Kong's financial history".
Last week, FinanceAsia writer Elton Cane won the Hyperion IT Press Awards for the best online IT reporter in Hong Kong.
