Falcon Trade swoops on RHB

Independent trade services specialist Falcon Trade poaches Shirley Lu from RHB in Malaysia.
Falcon Trade Corporation, an independent trade services specialist, has appointed Shirley Lu as country manager for Malaysia. Lu was head of trade finance banking with the Malaysian bank, RHB, and has worked in trade finance with the bank for 14 years.

In her new role with Falcon Trade, she will primarily focus on business development û working to create awareness of the Falcon Trade offering in what is a new market for the company, and in raising the profile of the brand within the local business community.

This is a new appointment and comes after testing the market for the past 12-18 months according to Falcon Trade chief financial officer Will Nagle.

Lu's appointment follows the creation of another new post in Asia with the hiring in June of Davy Kurniadi as country manager for Indonesia. The company now has offices in Singapore, Jakarta and, most recently, Kuala Lumpur.

ôThese two positions are an expansion as we feel these two markets offer considerable potential," says Nagle.

Falcon Trade Corporation is 12-years-old and is an independent provider of innovative and flexible financial solutions for cross-border trade. The company is involved in emerging markets sale and purchase transactions û it offers rapidly-executed facilities without country risk limitations or restrictions on product.

Services include structured financial and logistics assistance for a wide range of customers in diversified industries in numerous markets. Falcon Trade Corporation has a strong presence in the Middle East, with a growing influence in Asia and an interest in trade flows globally.
