Deutsche Bank builds Vietnam team

The bank announces that its head of equities for Vietnam has been promoted to head of global markets for the country.
Deutsche Bank announced Wednesday that its head of equities Vietnam, Tom Nguyen, has been promoted to the position of head of global markets Vietnam.

In his new role, Nguyen oversees the sales and trading function of Deutsche Bank in Vietnam and is responsible for a business which helps Vietnamese companies raise money in equity and debt markets, manage currency and interest rate exposures and advise foreign institutions investing in Vietnam.

Deutsche Bank also announced it has added two new senior executives to its equities business, appointing Hiep Vo to the position of director to advise foreign institutions investing in Vietnam, and Ngoc Quang Nguyen to the position of vice-president, to provide local support for the bankÆs domestic research products.

"Deutsche Bank has been a committed participant to the development of Vietnam's capital markets for 15 years. The promotion of Tom, and the expansion of on-the-ground resources within sales and trading, will ensure that Deutsche Bank remains one of the most innovative and significant foreign financial institutions operating in Vietnam," says Loh Boon-Chye, head of global markets Asia (ex-Japan) at Deutsche Bank.

Before moving to Deutsche Bank in Vietnam, Nguyen was head of US equity sales with Deutsche Bank in London and a regional equity sales manager at Deutsche Bank in Chicago.
