DBS TD Waterhouse appoints new country head in Hong Kong

The joint venture of DBS TD Waterhouse has appointed Juliana Cheng as country head for Hong Kong.

Cheng's role will cover marketing and business development and she will also assist the CEO for the joint venture, Ian Struthers, in growing the business across the region. Cheng was previously in marketing and product development at Tokyo-Mitsubishi TD Waterhouse Securities the joint venture in Japan where she was focusing on marketing strategy and public relations.

She has been with TD Bank Financial Group in Canada since 1986 and TD Asset Management Inc since 1997 where she become a director in the international division in 1999 and was responsible for launching the first TD non-North American mutual fund supermarket in Japan in summer of 2000. DBS TD is a joint venture between the banking group DBS and TD Waterhouse Group Inc, a wholly owned subsidiary of the Toronto-Dominium Bank in Canada.
