Chinese secondary listings in Hong Kong soar amid HKEX boom

Beijing is encouraging A-share listed firms to list in Hong Kong, while Trump’s policies are turning some US-listed Chinese companies to also go public on HKEX. The IPO momentum is continuing with four firms listing on October 28 in the SAR.

Hong Kong is witnessing a bonanza of secondary listings of Chinese companies which are already listed in the mainland’s A-share market, while fears of US president Donald Trump’s protectionist tendencies are also driving US-listed Chinese firms to also list in Hong Kong.
