Barker new HSBC chief economist

Geoffrey Barker has joined HSBC as chief economist for Asia Pacific, in charge of formulating Asian economic viewsáin Investment Banking and Markets. He will also add to the strength and depth of HSBC's markets research capability in the region and provide support for its global economics coverage. Barker was formerly head of Asian economics and strategy at Dresdner Kleinwort Benson Securities (Asia) in Hong Kong.
