- KDDI RD Laboratories unveiled a way to automatically transform web sites for personal computers that will allow the sites to be displayed on cellular phone screens. Basically, the present convention decreases the width of a page and rearranges the content vertically so that they can work in cell phones. The new technology offered by KDDI connects the phone to a web site, where the texts and images and images are analyzed according to the degree of importance, with key portions shown first and the other information shown on subsequent pages. The company said the technology would be available within two years.
