Go on, leave me breathless

In the latest round in the æwho has the best conferenceÆ battle between CLSA and CSFB, the former has come up with a masterstroke.

CLSA party-organizer extraordinaire Angelique Marcil has engaged Irish rock-pop-babes sensation The Corrs to perform at the bank's party on May 16. The party will be held at the Hong Kong Convention Centre and is sure to build on the platform created last year when Welsh knicker-twister Tom Jones had the aisles rocking.

The Corrs – which consists of three incredibly attractive sisters and a brother – are very popular in Asia, and this was thought to be a key reason for the group’s selection. The CLSA conference attracts 29 nationalities and many age groups. It is hard to find a performer that can cross so many boundaries. The Corrs are one of the few that can.

Their hits, which include, ‘Breathless’, ‘Irresistible’ and ‘So Young’, are a pop-fusion of Irish folk and modern rock music. Moreover, it is their first performance in Hong Kong.

U-shaped recovery or not, it promises to be a great night.
