Treasury appointments, July 13

A roundup of the latest CFO and treasurer moves from around the region.

Aboitiz Equity Ventures: The Philippines-based holding and management company of the Aboitiz Group appointed Aylmerita Penaloza assistant vice-president for treasury on July 8. Prior to joining Aboitiz Equity Ventures, Penaloza was senior assistant vice-president of Credit Agricole Manila. She holds a bachelor of accounting degree from the University of Santo Tomas.

Dhunseri Tea and Industries: The India-based tea manufacturer and seller appointed Rajiv Kumar Sharm chief financial officer and senior vice-president of finance on July 3. The appointment was part of a series of senior management shuffling that saw former chief executive Chandra Kumar Dhanuka promoted to chairman and Biswanath Chattopadhyay appointed new chief executive and executive director.

Dynamic Colours: The Singapore-based colour pigments trade company appointed Wong Chee Meng group CFO on July 7. Wong joined Dynamic Colours from Asia Pacific Business Consultants where he was an associate director. He has more than 12 years' experience in various finance and accounting roles and was previously CFO of SNF Corporation and director of finance at Advanced Integrated Manufacturing Corporation.

Indo Green Projects: Virendra Tripathy was appointed CFO of the India-based real estate and infrastructure development company on July 5. He was relieved of his duties as chief executive, a position he had held since February 13 of this year.

Jep Holdings: Leong Weng Cheong resigned as group financial controller from the Singapore-based advanced engineering services provider on July 2. Executive director Koh How Thim will temporarily assume Leong's duties until a suitable replacement is found. Koh will oversee the finance function of the group and ensure that proper control procedures are in place to provide accurate financial reporting. In addition he will act as an advisor to the management team.

Rowsley: Ong Pang Liang will resign as CFO of the Singapore-based engineering research and development company on August 1. Han Tsi Fung will be appointed acting CFO until the company finds an appropriate replacement for Ong. He will be responsible for the company's financial and accounting functions and matters relating to corporate regulatory compliance. Han was previously CFO of the company for two years between 2005 and 2007.
