Citi invests more in regional microfinance networks

Citi Foundation launches an international microfinance programme worth $11.2 million in partnership with Banking With The Poor, FDC and SEEP Networks in Asia-Pacific.

The Citi Foundation will today announce a three-year, $11.2 million international-grant programme to advance the integration of microfinance into the mainstream economies of developing countries.

Dubbed the Citi Network Strengthening Programme, the idea is to increase the ability of 12 major microfinance networks and their members to develop products and services that meet the needs of their clients.
