Wherever.net announces new country heads and new office

HONG KONG, June 16 HK PRNewswire-AsiaNet - WHEREVER.net (NASDAQ: WNET), a leading Asian Voice-over-IP ("VoIP") services provider, has announced two additions to its senior management team.

Mr.  K.  Y.  Lee Mr.  Lee has been appointed as President and Chief Operations Officer of WHEREVER.net Singapore Pte.  Ltd., responsible for the sales, marketing and support functions in South Asia and India region.

Prior to joining WHEREVER.net, Mr.  Lee held various positions at Motorola Computer Group as regional marketing manager for Asia Pacific and Japan region, and as systems engineering manager for South Asia, India, Taiwan, Australia and New Zealand. He has also been a systems analyst and systems engineer at Asian Electronics in Hong Kong.

Mr.  Lee received a Bachelor of Engineering degree in computer systems engineering from Warwick University, U.  K.  Mr.  Pratap Ponna Mr.  Ponna joins as President and Chief Operations Officer of WHEREVER.net Australia Pty.  Ltd.  In his new role, Mr.  Ponna will oversee the Company's operations in Australia and New Zealand.  WHEREVER.net's new office in Australia will officially open on June 19, 2000 at 99 Walker Street, North Sydney.

Mr.  Ponna joins WHEREVER.net from Lucent Technologies (Australia) where he was the program manager in Network Care Professional Services division, heading a team of project managers engaged in various data network integration projects across the Asia/Pacific region. Mr.  Ponna holds a Bachelor degree in Electronics and Communications Engineering and a post-graduate degree in Computer Science.
