Global chairman and CEO of UBS Global Asset Management, John Fraser, discusses the firmÆs growth plans for Asia-Pacific, and how the asset manager has been turned around.
UBS Global Asset Management manages SwF801 billion $643 billion of assets worldwide, of which 9% $57 billion is sourced from the Asia-Pacific region. The firm suffered reversals in the late 1990s, culminating in being cut by its affiliated wealth management arm. Since then it has reorganised and now counts on growth from Asia to lift it into asset managementÆs top tier.
