American Express has announced that Patricia Welch will take on the role of regional public affairs and corporate communications officer for the financial services group in Asia.
Welch joins from ABN AMRO where she held the same role. She has been in Asia for the better part of 20 years, and has lived and worked in both Hong Kong and Singapore. Her media background involved a stint as Time Inc's marketing director where she looked after the Fortune and Asiaweek stable, before becoming marketing director of Asia Business News before its merger with CNBC Asia.
