Following the departure of Stephen Ching from his position as North East Asian head of loan distribution, Standard Chartered has promoted Grance Wong to the position. Wong has been with the bank since 2002 working in the loan distribution department as an associate director. She will remain in Hong Kong and report to Anton Martin, the bank's global head of distribution.
The bank has hired Bruce Fung to fill Wong's shoes at the associate director level. Fung joins from Mizuho Corporate Asia (Hong Kong) where he was in the loan sales and distributions department. Prior to that he worked in special asset management at Rabobank in Hong Kong. Fung will report to Wong.
"Building strong distribution capabilities in Hong Kong and across North East Asia is important to ensure in-depth coverage of partner banks in the region and enhance the bank's ability to lead and underwrite transactions for key borrowers in North East Asia," explained Martin, commenting on the moves.
