Simmons & Simmons boosts its practice

International law firm recruits a new partner from Richards Butler.

Loretta Lau has joined internaional law firm Simmons & Simmons as a partner in the firm's Hong Kong corporate practice. She will focus on corporate finance and M&A deals in Hong Kong and China.

She joins Simmons from Richards Butler where she was also a partner, and where she focused on M&A, restructuring, privatizations and equity capital markets work, especially in the TMT sector.

"What first attracted me to Simmons & Simmons was their strong corporate practice and their reputation in Hong Kong and internationally," she says explaining the motives behind her move. "There's a dynamism and energy within the firm that suits my appraoch to servicing clients. I am excited to be joining such a progressive team."

At Simmons she will report to Nick Norris, the firm's leading partner in the Hong Kong corporate group.
