RBS establishes Singapore futures desk

Bank poaches ABN team to complement existing broking desks.
The Royal Bank of ScotlandÆs global banking and markets division RBS has opened an Asian futures desk in Singapore. To get the desk off the ground, the UK-based bank has also has poached four members of ABN AMROÆs desk to lead the business.

Chin Leng Woon has been appointed to lead the team under the title of head of futures, Asia. He will cover all aspects of marketing and trade execution, including the bankÆs electronic trading platform.

He reports to William Knottenbelt, RBS global head of futures.

At ABN, he spent nine years running the Dutch bank's futures desk in Singapore. The group also held responsibility for futures execution and clearing services....
