International law firm Paul Hastings has announced the appointment of Andrew Hutton to the firm's capital markets group in Hong Kong. Hutton has10-plus years of transactional experience in capital markets and corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions and United States law cross-border commercial transactions in the US and Asia.
Throughout his legal career, Hutton has represented both underwriters and issuers in debt and equity offerings, including high-yield, convertible and straight corporate debt offerings, and initial public offerings. In addition, he has also represented secondary and follow-on offerings and listings of American Depositary Receipts and Global Depositary Receipts in SEC registered transactions, Rule 144A and Regulation S offerings.
Prior to making the move to Paul Hastings, Hutton served Latham & Watkins in Singapore and Hong Kong for six years. Previously, he spent three years as the general counsel of Sunterra Corporation, a Nasdaq-listed California-based resort development company, where he played a leading role in both US and international transactions.
Upon joining the team, Paul Hastings will boost more than 110 corporate lawyers in Hong Kong, Beijing, Shanghai and Tokyo.
