Jones Day adds to its securities law team

Law firm Jones Day lands David Neuville from Simmons & Simmons.
The international law firm Jones Day has announced that David Neuville is joining the firm's capital markets practice from Simmons & Simmons. Neuville has been practicing United States securities law in Hong Kong since 1994.

"It is always delightful to see great talent becoming a part of our already outstanding team. David's expertise in public and private securities offerings, mergers and acquisitions and other aspects of securities law will add great depth to our existing capital markets practice and our client base," says Barbara Mok, Jones Day Hong Kong partner-in-charge.

During his 13 years in Hong Kong, Neuville has represented issuers and underwriters in equity and debt securities offerings by companies based in China, India, Taiwan, Indonesia, Hong Kong and Thailand, among other places.

Recently, he has acted as US counsel for the underwriters in equity offerings by China Communications Construction (raising $2.4 billion) and Zhuzhou CSR Times Electric (raising $275 million) and US counsel for the issuer in the $420 million equity offering by China Communications Services and the $200 million offering of high-yield notes by Parkson Retail Group.

Before joining Simmons & Simmons, Neuville was an international partner in Hong Kong with Baker & McKenzie.
