ING Barings appoints new Head of Equity Research in Taiwan

ING Barings continue to expand their team in Asia with the announcement of several new appointments today.
Weimin Chang, 32, joins as head of equity research in Taiwan, from Martin Currie, a Scottish asset management company, where he was a fund manager responsible for the Taiwan and Korea portfolios for four years. Prior to this, Chang worked for seven years in Taipei as a financial and equity market journalist, giving him all-round market knowledge and experience.
 
Commenting on the appointment, Richard Jones, head of equity research for Asia says Weimin
has excellent knowledge of the individual stocks in Taiwan as well as a good macroeconomic overview. In addition, his knowledge of regional semi-conductors and downstream technology
sectors will also add significantly to our overall coverage and compliment our existing team...
